We believe in serving our East Bay community by offering opportunities for anyone to practice yoga through weekly community classes and supporting organizations that have the same desire to compassionately uplift and assist people in our neighborhood and beyond.
Weekly Sliding-Scale Donation Classes
We have three sliding-scale donation yoga classes every week, one at each Namaste Yoga + Wellness studio. If you are able to pay more, please take this opportunity to offer dana (generosity) to support others in the community who cannot afford it at this time. If you have a Namaste membership or class package, you may use this if you choose. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. We highly encourage students to bring friends and loved ones!
Insight Meditation Satsang with Sean Feit Oakes
at Namaste Berkeley on Tuesdays 7:30-9:15pm
Satsang begins with a 30 minute meditation with instructions given and then silence. The sit is followed by a talk and discussion on practice, weaving between Theravāda Buddhist perspectives on yogic practice and contemporary issues of psychology, relationships, and social justice. All are welcome.
Yoga + Meditation with Ashley Sharp
at Namaste Rockridge on Thursdays 7:00pm-8:30PM
This class cultivates physical health and psychological well-being using bodily postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and mindfulness meditation techniques. The class helps develop a strong, flexible body and a focused, peaceful mind. Mindfulness helps you decrease your anxiety to develop a greater ease with life’s ups and downs. All levels are welcome.
Community Yoga with Skeeter Barker
at Namaste Grand Lake on Fridays 6:00-7:30 PM
This an all levels class allowing anyone with financial constraints to be able to afford yoga. We encourage you to pre-register online with one of our sliding scale price options since this class is extremely popular!
Rockridge Rotating Rituals: 3rd Fridays Community Kirtan!
We are excited to host Community Kirtan every third Friday of the month at our Rockridge studio with Adam Kurzfeld and Sita Devi. In Kirtan, we invoke the archetypes for abundance, grace, creativity, and transformation. Through this practice of sounding from the heart, these qualities take root in our spirit and we begin to naturally embody them. No singing experience necessary! You can sign up on the Class Schedule page or in person before class.
By donation – cash only please. 15% of all proceeds will go towards zSharp.
